Austin Sanford
Attorney Biography
Austin Sanford joined the San Francisco office of the firm in 2011 and works with the firm's Insurance and Employment Litigation practice groups. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Sanford practiced in Texas and worked on a wide variety of matters including complex commercial, employment, and real estate litigation, and concurrently served as the Associate Director for Academic Support at St. Mary's University School of Law. He also served as the Director of the Ask A Lawyer Program, a pro-bono legal services clinic for underserved and impoverished clients in the City of San Antonio, for which he received the San Antonio Bar Foundation Community Access to Justice Award.
Mr. Sanford received his B.F.A. from Texas Tech University in 2002. He received his juris doctorate, cum laude, in 2009 from St. Mary's University School of Law. While in law school he served as a judicial intern for a number of judges, including the Honorable Fred Biery, United States District Court, Western District of Texas; Chief Justice Brian Quinn, Seventh District Court of Appeals, Texas; and Justice Phil Johnson of the Texas Supreme Court. Mr. Sanford was a staff writer for St. Mary's Law Journal and an advocate for St. Mary's Mock Trial Team. He was also a member of the John Marshall Harlan Honor Society and the Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honors Fraternity.
Mr. Sanford is a member of the State Bars of California and Texas.
