Attorney Biography

Randy M. Marmor received his B.A. from Syracuse University in 1970. He graduated from Georgetown University Law Center in 1973. Randy also received an LLM in Taxation from Golden Gate University in 1983.

Following graduation from law school, Randy served as an Assistant District Attorney in Bronx County, New York for three years. Relocating to California in 1976, Randy began working for the insurance defense firm, Haims, Johnson, MacGowan & McInerney in Oakland. Randy remained with this firm until 1999 when he joined Sinnott "of counsel." Randy became a partner in the firm in 2003.

Randy's initial area of practice with the Haims firm was personal injury insurance defense. Starting in the mid-1980's, Randy began to specialize in insurance coverage cases. For the past 10 years, Randy has focused on advising insurers regarding their rights and obligations to their insureds and other insurers under general liability, homeowners, automobile, excess, D & O, and E & O policies. Randy also has extensive experience defending insurers in litigation against their insureds with respect to defense and coverage issues as well as against other insurers in contribution and subrogation claims.
